    Since students at early age should know the significance of oral care. For that, they are being kept under regular monitoring of teachers. In the same respect, Doctors from Jodhpur Dental Care Clinic visited the campus and all students underwent dental checkup. Students needing extra treatment were referred to dental clinic in Jodhpur. .

    A play ‘kitaanoo’ on hand washing is enacted by kids to tell them the importance of washing hands before and after taking food, Washing hands after using toilets and before eating food is gradually coming in kids’ routine. Bhagirath of class 8th is playing doctor and Dilip from 4th is the sick child and germs are standing behind in attacking mode. .

Society is an important part of our lives and therefore growth and upliftment of society is very important for nation’s future. With our consistent efforts and deeds we always want to improve the condition of people of surrounding villages. For this purpose, Society for Rational Development is in continuous effort to organize medical camps for health benefits of community as well as children.

Eye Check Up Camp

An eye check up camp was organized in collaboration with Panchayat Samiti in which around 200 villagers were benefitted. Dr. Pragya Jain (Ophthalmologist) along with her team treated the villagers. Villagers were also given free medicines after treatment.

Regular Health Check Up

SFORD continuously makes an effort to inculcate the importance of Health and Hygiene amongst its students in SFORD Academy. Dr. Kalpana Shukla (Physician) regularly visits SFORD Academy to check the BMI of kids and educate them to take proper diet.

Oral Health

Since students at early age should know the significance of oral care. For that, they are being kept under regular monitoring of teachers. In the same respect, Doctors from Jodhpur Dental Care Clinic visited the campus and all students underwent dental checkup. Students needing extra treatment were referred to dental clinic in Jodhpur.

Moreover, children are taken to Vyas Dental College, Jodhpur for their exposure to dental clinics and latest oral practices. In these dental college visits, not only students of SFORD Academy but also other kids of surrounding villages are also benefitted. Kids are given free medicines along with free minor surgeries.

Orientation To Kids

Students are also given orientation about hygiene practices through repeated demonstrations and presentations on a regular basis. We perceive that dramas help in better and fast understanding. A play ‘kitaanoo’ on hand washing is enacted by kids to tell them the importance of washing hands before and after taking food. At a very basic level, staff teaches the kids how to tie shoe laces and comb the hair. Washing hands after using toilets and before eating food is gradually coming in kids’ routine.

Bone Health Awareness

Dr. Arun Kumar (Orthopedic) educated the kids about the intake and importance of healthy diet and nutrients. Interaction with kids boosts the morale of kids and they openly talk about their health problems.

Hygiene Awareness To Villagers

Villagers are also given awareness about maintaining hygiene practices for healthy living. Staff visits their homes and demonstrate them how to keep up their homes neatly. Parents’ are asked to teach their kids about cleanliness, so that they come to school in a neat uniform. Awareness is primarily aimed at women and children giving them knowledge on malnutrition, hygiene practices during preparation of food and safe drinking water.
